Twelve inflorescence characters as described in Cuellar-Garrido L.F. & Siqueiros-Delgado M.E., (2020) were selected for analysis, including characters that have been employed to distinguish the two varieties of B. aristidoides. All measurements were taken from herbarium specimens. On each specimen, three mature inflorescences were arbitrarily selected for measurement with help of millimetric paper and a stereoscopic microscope, from one or (if present) multiple individuals. The mean of the different measurement values was calculated (X= (x1+x2+x3)/3 ) and registered in Excel. All the mean values were normalized ((x - minimum value)/(Range of values)) and used to create the morphologic character matrix.
