Description

Abstract The present paper describes the Riemann package written in the Maple programming language. The package has been developed for tensor component calculations in General Relativity and for some tensor abstract manipulations. It allows the user to perform tensor algebra operations, such as addition, multiplication and contraction of tensors. It is also possible to create new tensors with defined symmetries and to apply Maple functions to the tensor components. We give an example of an application... Title of program: RIEMANN Catalogue Id: ADGP_v1_0 Nature of problem Calculation and manipulation of tensors of General Relativity. This package can be used to obtain field equations for a given metric in coordinate or vierbein basis. New tensor equations can be defined and manipulated.
