Abstract The program GABI calculates refractive index gradients generated in a dye solution, flowing in a planar cell, and pumped by a repetitively pulsed copper vapor laser beam. The calculation results serve for design evaluation and selection of optimal pump geometry, dye solvent and dye solution flow velocity.
