Description

Abstract The stacked-foil technique is one of the most used methods to obtain excitation functions of nuclear reactions using light ions as projectiles. The purpose of this program is the calculation of the energy of the beam in the stack, as well as to obtain the incident energy and the flux of the beam by using monitor excitation functions. Title of program: STP Catalogue Id: ACGM_v1_0 Nature of problem The stacked-foil technique is usually used to measure nuclear reaction excitation functions using light ions as projectiles. In this technique, the target is composed of several foils of different materials. For this target design it is necessary to know the energy of the beam at each foil. In addition, to obtain the right excitation functions it is necessary to know the true values of the incident energy and the flux of the beam. Therefore, some foils of a given material are intercalated in the ...
