Steps to reproduce
Regarding the data collection and processing, we downloaded databases (status_smg_3GPP_2022-06-15_13h42-CET.zip) from the 3GPP website (https://www.3gpp.org/ftp/Information/Databases/Spec_Status), which are created through Microsoft AccessThese databases contain information about which Work Item was initiated by whom (as a Work Item Rapporteur) and which technical specification was created by whom (as a Specification Rapporteur). Because Work Item Rapporteur and Specification Rapporteur are individual representatives of firms, we used the name list data to change Work Item Rapporteur and Specification Rapporteur from an individual representative’s name to their company name for our analysis. Some other information (e.g., Change Request) also can be found in this database. We hope future studies can use this database to reveal more insightful implications about firms' activities in standard-setting organizations.
