Description

The income data that are used for the calculation of the Gini coefficients is based on the American Community Survey (ACS) Public Use Microdata Sample (PUMS) for all Public Use Microdata Areas (PUMAs) within the administrative boundaries of the case cities. The income variables that are used from this survey are the total person’s earnings and the total person’s income which is summed and adjusted for inflation.
