Description

Three types of research data are provided in this Mendeley Dataset, which is linked to the research paper titled "Cohesive modeling in load-unload situations" (submitted for publication and currently under review). The first two types of data are software/code, while the third type is a summary of some results of finite element simulations where the first observations were made of a phenomenon that triggered the above mentioned research. The three materials are located in three separate folders of this Mendeley Dataset named “Folder-1” – “Folder-3”. Please refer to Sections 1 and 2 of the Readme file located at the root of the Dataset for explanations on how to use the contents of Folders 1 and 2. • Folder-1: contains an Abaqus input file template to reproduce a numerical experiment presented in the mentioned research paper. • Folder-2: contains the source code of a UMAT subroutine to be used as a material model for cohesive elements in the Abaqus Finite Element Software, developed by the authors of the paper. • Folder-3: Contains a summary of the first numerical results which motivated the above mentioned research.
