Description
The data presents the respiration rates, cumulative carbon emissions, and priming effect of various amended soils, alongside measurements of soil inorganic carbon, organic carbon, microbial biomass carbon, and pH.

Soil respiration was measured every two days during the first two weeks, every three days in the subsequent two weeks, and weekly thereafter. Appropriate quantities of sub-samples were collected on days 7, 37, 68, 98, 128, and 158 for the analyses of pH, soil organic carbon (SOC), microbial biomass carbon (MBC), and soil inorganic carbon (SIC). Soil respiration was measured using a High-Precision Isotopic CO2 CRDS Analyzer (Picarro G2131-i, USA) by calculating the CO2 concentration difference in sealed brown bottles over a 12-hour period. Due to the intense carbonation observed in CaO, MgO, and OPC throughout the incubation period, which precluded accurate measurement of respiration rates, only the respiration data for BC, OF, HA, and their respective soil mixtures were obtained and presented. Soil pH was measured using a glass electrode pH meter (PB-30L, CHINA) at a soil-to-water ratio of 1:2.5 based on HJ 962-2018 (China, Soil-Determination of pH-Potentiometry, 2018). Soil was treated with excess 1 mol hydrochloric acid(HCL) to remove inorganic carbon (Carter, 2007), followed by washing with deionized water until neutral, dried at 40℃, ground, and analyzed for SOC using a CNHS-O Elemental Combustion Analyzer (Costech ECS 4024, Costech, Italy). MBC was quantified using a TOC analyzer (TOC-L CPN, SHIMADZU, Japan) based on the chloroform fumigation-extraction method with a conversion coefficient of 0.45 (Anderson and Domsch, 1978; Brookes et al., 1985). A measured quantity of dried and ground soil was treated with an excess of 10% (v/v) phosphoric acid solution (Burman et al., 2005). After 12 hours of complete reaction, the concentration of released CO2 was analyzed using a High-Precision Isotopic CO2 CRDS Analyzer (Picarro G2131-i, USA) to calculate SIC content.
