The dataset for validation of predictors of an online gamified professional development programme adoption for academic staffs
Contributors: Jazihan Mahat, Farrah Dina Yusop, Norlidah Alias
... This dataset consists of the predictors of an online gamified professional development programme adoption for academic staffs. The data includes 32 responses from academic staffs in Malaysia. The content validation processes through Content Validity Ratio (CVR) and Content Validity Index (CVI) were applied. The data was assessed via the internal consistency reliability, convergent validity and discriminant validity.

... This dataset contains raw and processed test and simulation data that underpins an experimental validation study for three classes of coupled laminate with matching Extension-Twisting coupling. The designs have matching orthotropic stiffness, in both extension and bending, and have been chosen specifically to investigate the influence of mechanical Extension-Shearing and/or Bending-Twisting on the performance of Extension-Twisting coupled designs under axial tension loads. All designs are Hygro-Thermally Curvature Stable (HTCS) or warp-free. An Electronic Annex to the article is also provided, which contains specimen data and Abaqus input files from which the simulations can be reproduced. Supplementary Note: It was not thought possible that zero Extension-Shearing coupled compliances, a16 and a26, could be achieved in the presence of Bending-Twisting coupled stiffnesses, when matching both Extension-Twisting (and inseparable Shearing-Bending) coupled stiffnesses and orthotropic Extensional and Bending stiffnesses. However, this was due to an oversight whilst interrogating the laminate databases. These designs have therefore been provided in a further supplement to the electronic annex to this article, since they do not affect any of the conclusions drawn.

... This dataset contains figures from original publications of reviewed sites from the Doel region. Additionally, diagrams and raw data of grain size, diatom, pollen and botanical macroremain analyses of the core from Doelpolder Noord are included. Finally the results of redundancy analysis of palynological data and of age modelling of multiple sites in the Doel region are given.

... This dataset was supported by the Key Research and Development Program of China (Grant No. 2016YFC0500902) and the National Nature Science Foundation of China (Grant No. 41601009). It includes two parts: one is the data of SOC contents of aeolian sediment and parent soils, and the data type is '.csv'; and the other is raster type, which includes SOC enrichment rate, average annual dust emission rate, and average annual SOC loss induced by dust emission.

... Familiarity with sound sources is known to have a modulatory effect on auditory distance perception. However, the level of familiarity that can affect distance perception is not clearly understood. A subjective experiment that aims to assess the effect of interpersonal familiarity on auditory distance perception is reported in this article. The experiment involves a binaural listening task where different source distances between 0.5 and 16 meters were emulated by convolving dry speech signals with binaural room impulse responses measured in a skyway. The experimental paradigm involved stimuli that consisted of speech signals recorded from different-gender couples who have self-reported to have known each other for at least a year with daily interaction. Each subject judged the distances of a total of 15 different speech stimuli from their partner, the spectrally most similar stranger and the spectrally most dissimilar stranger, for six different emulated distances, respectively. The main finding is that a similar but unfamiliar speaker is localized to be further away than either a familiar speaker or an unfamiliar speaker.
