... The Smart Citizen Platform is the server-side application running the all the data ingestion, storage and post-processing as well as users and devices management. It provides rich REST interfaces that allow applications to be developed on quickly on top having access to all the features to create complicated and costly tools. Some examples of these tools are the Smart Citizen Android App, ISCAPE Data Analysis Framework and the ISCAPE Virtual Living Lab. This work is led by IAAC Fab Lab Barcelona team under the framework of iSCAPE (Improving Smart Control of Air Pollution in Europe) project, which is funded by the European Community’s H2020 Programme (H2020-SC5-04-2015) under the Grant Agreement No. 689954. ... X-ray absorption near-edge spectroscopy (XANES) is becoming an extremely popular tool for material science thanks to the development of new synchrotron radiation light sources. It provides information about charge state and local geometry around atoms of interest in operando and extreme conditions. However, in contrast to X-ray diffraction, a quantitative analysis of XANES spectra is rarely performed in the research papers. The reason must be found in the larger amount of time required for calculation of a single spectrum compared to a diffractogram. For such time-consuming calculations, in the space of several structural parameters, we developed an interpolation approach proposed originally by Smolentsev et al in FitIt code. The current version of this software, named PyFitIt, is a major upgrade version of FitIt and it is based on machine learning algorithms. We have chosen Jupyter Notebook framework to be friendly for users and at the same time being available for remastering. The analytical work is divided in two steps. First, the series of experimental spectra are analysed statistically and decomposed into principal components. Second, pure spectral profiles, recovered by principal components, are fitted by theoretical interpolated spectra. We implemented different schemes of choice of nodes for approximation and learning algorithms including Gradient Boosting of Random Trees, Radial Basis Functions and Neural Networks. The fitting procedure can be performed both for a XANES spectrum or for a difference spectrum, thus minimizing the systematic errors of theoretical simulations. The problem of several local minima is addressed in the framework of direct and indirect approaches.

This data set contains thermodynamic database with thermodynamic functions (heat capacity, entropy and heat content) for 46 zeolites, their tabulated values and raw data used for its parameters optimization. It is valid for 0-1000 K. The layout of thermodynamic functions is based on Einstein-Planck functions sum; raw data files are designed for CpFit program. It also contains MATLAB implementation of the additive group contribution model for zeolites.

... Thermo-physical data for Co-Cr-W and Co-Cr-W-Si-Mn Authors: J.C.T. Cullen, S. Mehraban, D. Davies, J. Vallery, N.P. Lavery, S.G.R Brown Cobalt Chrome Tungsten (Co-Cr-W) ternary and micro-alloyed samples (Co-Cr-W-Si-Mn) were manufactured using a Rapid Alloy Prototyping methodology which combined ball milling, powder compaction and induction melting. Each composition selected was studied in three conditions; as-cast, annealed for 4 hrs at 1100°C and annealed for 14 days at 1100°C. The samples were analysed using XRD, Dilatometry, hardness, SEM/EDS and DSC forming a significant chapter of work from Dr Jonathan Cullen's PhD thesis. CONTENTS OF DATABASE The database contains all raw data from the measurements and all the microscopy of samples which have not been included in subsequent publications due to space limitation, copyright or data averaging. For example, the Coefficients of Thermal Expansion (CTE) obtained for individual compositions covered a temperature range from RT to 1100 Deg C, but typically plotted as average CTE values over temperature intervals of 50 deg C . The data in this database contains the complete raw data set. SAMPLE NUMBERS, COMPOSITION AND PHASES The sample numbers [1-53] are used throughout this database, for the compositions XX Co – YY Cr – ZZ W (always in weight percentage). Samples for the Co-Cr-W ternary are labelled and saved in folders called CCW, whereas samples microalloyed with Mn or Si are under folders labelled CCWSM. The CCW samples  -  are labelled as in excel file at top level folder (Co-Cr-W Summary of Chemistry Hardness and DSC data.xlsx). The CCWSM samples  -  are labelled as in excel file at the top level folder (Co-Cr-W-Si-Mn Chemistry CTE Hardness and Enthalpy.xlsx).
