Other The data set contains recordings made from multiple anterior thalamic nuclei, mainly the antero-dorsal (AD) nucleus, and subicular areas, mainly the post-subiculum (PoS), in freely moving mice. Thalamic and subicular electrodes yielding high number of the so-called Head-Direction (HD) cells were likely to be located in the AD nucleus and the PoS, respectively. Electrode placement was confirmed by histology. The data was obtained during 42 recording sessions and includes responses of 720 neurons in the thalamus and 357 neurons in the PoS, in seven animals while they foraged for food in an open environment (53- x 46-cm).

The data was used to determine relationships between activity in hippocampus and PFC neurons and learning and decision making. Other The data was recorded in the lab of Loren Frank at UCSF from hippocampus regions in nine male Long-Evans rats before, during and after the animals performed an alternate choice task in one of two W-shaped tracks. In two animals, recordings were from areas MEC and CA1; for the other seven animals, recordings were from CA1 and CA3. The data was used to determine relationships between activity in hippocampus neurons to information representation, learning and decision making.

... Other The dataset comprises calcium imaging data from vibrissal S1 in mice performing a pole localization task. Volumetric calcium imaging in mice expressing GCaMP6s and nuclear red fluorescent proteins was used to sample activity in 75 % of superficial barrel cortex neurons across the relevant cortical columns, approximately 12,000 neurons per animal, during performance of a single whisker object localization task. The raw data consists of images of neuronal calcium activity and whisker movements. The processed data consists of fluorescence time series from multiple individual cells and simultaneously recorded behavioral variables, including whisker dynamics.

The three regions recorded from are left and right hippocampal CA1 and right entorhinal cortex. The tasks are a left/right alternate selection task, wheel running, and platform exploration. The data was recorded on 125 channels. Included in the data set are: Weveforms of putative spikes extracted from original raw broadband data; LFP (local field potential); results of spike sorting; and information about the animal behavior during the experiment.

... Other This data consist of multi-electrode recordings from V1 in anesthetized macaque monkeys, while natural images and gratings were flashed on the screen. Recordings were performed using the “Utah” electrode array. Natural images were presented at two sizes, 3-6.7 degrees and windowed to 1 degree, to quantify surround modulation.
