... Other This data set contains recordings from the zebra finch cortical song nucleus HVC during singing. Most animals had only one electrode, but some had two electrodes within HVC. These data have been used to investigate the development of a circuit essential for vocal learning and production. Juveniles, who sing plastic song, are compared to adults, who sing stable song.

Other The data consists of in vivo extracellular recordings from 121 neurons in the medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) and 99 neurion in auditory cortex (A1) in rats while they were performing either of two stimulus selection tasks. The two stimulus selection tasks used the same set of auditory stimuli, but required the rats to respond differently depending on which task they were performing. To respond correctly, the rats had to select the appropriate aspect of the stimulus, similar to a human a cocktail party paying attention to only one voice.

... Other This dataset of multi single neuron recording was acquired in rats performing a working memory task. Neuronal activity was monitored simultaneously in the PFC (64 channels) and the intermediate area CA1 of the hippocampus (32 channels) in three rats (EE, FF, GG). In one rat (EE), sleep was also recorded before and after the task. Total duration of the recorded data from all three animals is approximately 23.37 hours. ... Other These experiments probe neural dynamics in the anterior motor cortex (ALM) and its relationship to voluntary movement. The data represent extracellular recordings from ALM neurons of adult mice performing a tactile decision behavior. Mouse uses whisker to detect which of two possible positions a pole is in. After a delay, the mice indicate the pole position by licking a sensor either on the right or left. During the experiment extracellular recordings were made from ALM neurons using 32 channels. Photostimulation was used to generate antidromic spikes in either layer 5 IT (Intratelencephalic) neuron axons through a cranial window over contra-lateral ALM or PT (Pyramidal Tract) neuron axons through an optical fiber in the ipsi-lateral brainstem.

... Other The data was recorded from primary visual cortex (V1) of the macaque monkey with 64 site multi-electrode arrays (8 shanks, 8 sites per shank). The data is comprised in two parts. One is a 15 minutes spontaneous activity without giving any visual stimulation prior to measuring neuronal tuning. The other is the tuning correlation measured by using parametric stimuli including gratings, checkerboard patterns, and color patches.

... Other The data sets consist of whole cell current clamp slice electrophysiology recordings made from single neurons from coronal sections of the visual cortex of adult male mice. The experiments were performed in the presence of blockers of fast synaptic transmission with the goal of understanding the diversity of intrinsic neuronal excitability between cell classes. These experiments represent preliminary datasets being used to refine methods working towards producing slice electrophysiology data at scale.
