... The data was collected for a paper that looked at the flight-related carbon emission of economics conferences. The data contains the list of speakers, the name of their home institution, the title of their presentations, the venue of the conference, the year of the conference, and attendance numbers for 263 economics conferences from 2001 to the end of 2018. 99 of these conferences were in the US, 107 in the EU, and 57 in other countries. This included 55,008 presentations by 26,312 distinct speakers. The data also contains the distance between the presenter's home institution and the conference venue and a calculated CO2 emission figure, based on assumptions explained in the attached data codebook. Finally, the dataset contains the number of citation each paper has received. Citation data was available for only a sample of 16,760 presentations (trips) by 10,080 distinct speakers.

... This dataset replicates tables and figures in the article "The Impact of Money on Science." The paper measures the productivity of university research investments and asks whether the resulting pools of knowledge create valuable, downstream technology (or simply accumulate in the “ivory tower”). It uses unexpected NCAA athletic outcomes to vary research support to university faculty and estimate knowledge productivity. We find positive, significant effects of research expenditures on articles published and patents filed. Then, using data on university technology licensing income, we show that these investments produce large returns in real terms. The data consists of an instrument, inputs, and outputs (from the knowledge production process). -The instrument consists of Associated Press college football team rankings. -The inputs the knowledge production function consist of the following: * research support expenditures (downloaded from the National Science Foundation) * faculty headcounts and expenditures (also downloaded from the National Science Foundation) * physical capital, i.e. facility expenditures (downloaded from IPEDS) - The outputs measure patenting, publishing, and licensing activity * Patent data comes from PatentsView.org (http://www.patentsview.org) and the USPTO Office of the Chief Economist. * Publishing activity is measured by academic publications, mainly in the ``STEM'' fields * University technology licensing revenues are surveyed and published by Association of University Technology Managers (``AUTM'') More details on the construction of these measures can be found in the associated article. Name correspondences are provided in an Excel file (nameMerge.xlsx). Code that combines the data from the subfolders and replicates the relevant tables and figures of the paper is provided in a STATA "do" file (master_final.do). Output files are exported to the "output" subfolder.

A new skull exhibits previously unobserved variability and asymmetry in this species. As in the type, the right lateral parietal bar bears seven epiossifications, but the left parietal bar has eight. Epiossifications p3‒p6 are asymmetrical with respect to size, orientation, and position relative to the midline. A re-evaluation of variation in Styracosaurus that includes this skull expands the morphological range of the taxon to incorporate Rubeosaurus ovatus, requiring the synonymy of the latter with the former. Unlike the type, both p1 and p2 epiossifications are large. Epiossification p1 is procurved, and p2 is medially curved. These features converge on the morphology considered diagnostic for Centrosaurus. This observation, in combination with their sequential stratigraphic relationship and geographic overlap might suggest that Centrosaurus and Styracosaurus form an anagenic series, but the stratigraphic placement of skulls exhibiting putative ‘transitional’ morphologies does not support this hypothesis.
