<dc:title>Multidimensional measure of Social Support Needs using Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS), </dc:title>
    <dc:publisher>Mendeley Data</dc:publisher>
<dc:description>The study used secondary data from the sixth round of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS Round 6), covering 52 countries and children and adolescents aged 5–17 years. The dataset combines information from the Child Functioning Module with variables describing family and social conditions, psychosocial vulnerability, education, and socioeconomic circumstances. The Child Functioning Module includes information on difficulties related to seeing, hearing, walking, self-care, communication, learning, remembering, concentrating, accepting changes, controlling behaviour, and making friends, as well as indicators of anxiety and depression.

The analytical database initially contained 28 quantitative variables, corresponding to 1,456 observations across the 52 countries. The variables represented country-level proportions, mean scores, and socioeconomic measures. The proposed dataset included indicators of family and social support and engagement, psychosocial vulnerability, cognitive and communication limitations, learning, attention and adaptation limitations, sensory and mobility limitations, household wealth, GDP per capita, and parental education.

The final operational structure included indicators such as parental participation in school activities, assistance with homework, child-rearing practices, violent discipline, child labour, functional difficulties, and socioeconomic characteristics. Mental Health was represented by anxiety and depression indicators.</dc:description>
