Kyselov, Illia Ukraine's External Debt Short-Term Liquidity Risk Matrix, by Sector, 2015-2025 Mendeley Data This dataset provides an annual (end-of-year) breakdown of Ukraine's gross external debt into short-term (up to 1 year) and long-term (over 1 year) components, for four institutional sectors (general government, the National Bank of Ukraine, banks, and other sectors), together with an author-calculated short-term share indicator. The dataset supports research on rollover/refinancing risk and pressure on Ukraine's foreign-exchange market from near-term external obligations, including how this risk profile shifted around the 2022 full-scale invasion. METHODOLOGY & SOURCES The short-term and long-term debt figures are taken directly from the National Bank of Ukraine's official Gross External Debt publication and are not estimated or interpolated. short_term_share_pct is calculated by the author as short_term_uah_mln / sector_total_uah_mln * 100. "Direct investment: intercompany debt" (a fifth external-debt sector in NBU's classification) is deliberately excluded from this dataset: NBU's own methodology does not classify intercompany debt by maturity (short-/long-term), so no valid short-term liquidity indicator can be constructed for it. Its 2015-2025 series (by direction of ownership: to direct investors, reverse investment, between fellow enterprises) is preserved in full in the companion Gross External Debt Panel dataset in this series.
