    <dc:title>Prevalence-Polarity Index (UNGA Global Finance)</dc:title>
    <dc:publisher>Mendeley Data</dc:publisher>
<dc:description>The prevalence-polarity λ index [-1,1] reflects the salience economic issues associated with the international financial architecture multiplied by the polarity of a given speech. The polarity is -1 if the speech contains at least two instances of a term associated with a zero-sum narrative of the global financial system and 1 otherwise. The salience score [0,1] is the year-normalized sum of structural topic model posteriors clustered around the topic pertaining to the Bretton Woods institutions. A high and positive λ suggests that the document has a high proportion of the economic topic-cluster combined with an overall positive tone, relative to other UNGA speeches in a given year. Conversely, a high and negative prevalence-polarity indicator suggests that a document where the economic topic cluster is prevalent, but with a zero-sum narrative</dc:description>
