<dc:title>BQRI: A Sub-District-Level Readiness Index for Bangla QR Adoption in Bangladesh</dc:title>
    <dc:publisher>Mendeley Data</dc:publisher>
<dc:description>This dataset accompanies the research paper “BQRI: A Sub-District-Level Readiness Index for Bangla QR Adoption in Bangladesh.” It contains the analytical data, derived results, source-code notebooks/scripts, and figures used to construct and evaluate the Bangla QR Readiness Index (BQRI) across 491 upazilas in Bangladesh.

The BQRI is constructed using three demand-side indicators: literacy rate, mobile-phone use, and Internet use. The final index uses PCA-derived weights of 0.262, 0.293, and 0.445, respectively. MFS agent density from bKash and Rocket is retained as an external infrastructure/validation signal rather than as a component of the index.

The dataset includes the final BQRI results, external validation data, electricity-access robustness analysis, spatial/LISA analysis data, readiness–infrastructure divergence analysis, analytical scripts, notebooks, and figures used in the study. The analytical dataset covers 491 upazilas and contains no missing values or duplicate District–Upazila pairs after cleaning and reconciliation.

The dataset is intended to support reproducibility, transparency, and further research on sub-district-level digital-payment readiness and financial-inclusion analysis in Bangladesh. BQRI represents a readiness proxy and should not be interpreted as a direct prediction of future Bangla QR adoption.</dc:description>
