<dc:title>District-Level Solar Resource, Climate, Energy Access and Poverty Data for Bangladesh</dc:title>
    <dc:publisher>Mendeley Data</dc:publisher>
<dc:description>This dataset provides district-level data on solar resource, climate, energy access and poverty in Bangladesh, compiled to support solar investment planning. It covers all 64 districts (one row per district, 13 columns), merging four open data sources into one table. Column definitions and units are given in data_dictionary.csv.

Contents
• Solar and climate (NASA POWER, monthly 2020–2024, at each district centroid): mean, minimum, maximum and standard deviation of all-sky solar irradiance (kWh/m²/day), mean temperature (°C), precipitation (mm/day) and cloud amount (%).
• Settlements and grid access (World Bank Distributed Renewable Energy (DRE) dataset, 2025): number of settlement clusters, total settlement population, and mean distance to the nearest existing transmission line (km).
• Poverty (Poverty Map of Bangladesh 2022, BBS and WFP): district poverty Head Count Ratio, 2022 (%).
• District boundaries (geoBoundaries ADM2), used to aggregate point data to districts.
