Soares da Costa, Tiago Genre2Data - A Genre-based User Behaviour Dataset for Videos Mendeley Data Identified as a requirement for SmoothMV, a head-tracking-based multiview system developed at INESC TEC, Portugal, this dataset was created from users’ gaze and head-movement data collected while viewing diverse video content. It is intended to support future developments in SmoothMV, particularly user-interest modeling and view prediction based on video genres. Data were collected from 34 participants using an Intel RealSense F200 camera during controlled viewing experiments comprising 53 sessions and 12 distinct video playlists. To address the limited availability of comparable datasets, the resulting dataset has been made publicly accessible. For storage efficiency, the saliency maps were compressed using image-compression techniques. The release also includes supporting tools for generating scatter plots and saliency maps from the collected data.
