<dc:title>Dataset on the Classification of Impacted Third Molars Using the Pell and Gregory System</dc:title>
    <dc:publisher>Mendeley Data</dc:publisher>
<dc:description>This dataset contains radiographic information regarding the classification and positional evaluation of impacted third molars. The data was collected from a sample of 218 panoramic radiographs from a private radiological center in the city of Cusco, Peru, covering the period from December 2024 to December 2025.
Each case was evaluated and categorized according to the Pell and Gregory classification system (assessing the relationship of the tooth to the anterior border of the ramus and the occlusal plane) to determine the degree of impaction. The dataset includes demographic variables (age, sex) and specific radiographic findings for each third molar evaluated (tooth number, position class, and position depth).
This data serves as a specialized resource for epidemiological studies, oral and maxillofacial surgery planning, and orthodontic research regarding lower third molar impaction patterns in the South Peruvian population.
