Gan, Simin Data for: Carbon accumulation by lithophytic moss crusts on mountainous rock slopes of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Mendeley Data This dataset supports the manuscript “Carbon accumulation by lithophytic moss crusts on mountainous rock slopes of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau”. The dataset contains 529 quadrat-level records from 57 rock-slope plots in western Sichuan, Maizhokunggar County, and Jiuzhaigou. Variables include region, site identifier, sequential quadrat identifier, elevation, slope gradient, colonization time, mean annual temperature, mean annual precipitation, moss coverage, biomass, soil retention, organic carbon content, organic carbon density, and stock-based annualized organic carbon accumulation rate. Each row represents one 20 cm × 20 cm quadrat.
