Voznyy, Vitaliy Efficacy and safety of preoperative intranasal dexmedetomidine in adults: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials Mendeley Data This dataset contains the aggregate study-level data and analytic files supporting the systematic review and meta-analysis entitled “Efficacy and safety of preoperative intranasal dexmedetomidine in adults: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.” The review evaluated preoperative intranasal dexmedetomidine in adult surgical patients undergoing general anesthesia, compared with control/placebo or intravenous dexmedetomidine. Data were gathered by extracting aggregate outcome data from published randomized controlled trials and supplementary materials cited in the manuscript. No individual participant data are included. The dataset includes study-level characteristics, extracted outcome data, and analytic files/statistical code used to reproduce the pooled analyses. The data support analyses of sedation, perioperative heart rate and mean arterial pressure, bradycardia, hypotension, propofol consumption, postoperative opioid consumption, PACU time, and postoperative nausea and vomiting, where available. These files are intended to allow readers to understand, verify, and reproduce the quantitative analyses reported in the manuscript.
