<dc:title>Vertical Magnetic Fabrics Reveal Lateral Transport and Internal Reorganization During Emplacement of a Mesoproterozoic Mafic Sill</dc:title>
    <dc:publisher>Mendeley Data</dc:publisher>
<dc:description>This dataset accompanies the manuscript “Vertical Magnetic Fabrics Reveal Lateral Transport and Internal Reorganization During Emplacement of a Mesoproterozoic Mafic Sill.” It contains Supporting Information and analytical data from the ca. 1.32 Ga Wulongji mafic sill in the Yanliao large igneous province, North China. The study uses a continuous anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility (AMS) profile across approximately 30 m of sill thickness to investigate magma transport and internal reorganization during emplacement.
The Supporting Information contains detailed sampling and analytical methods, the AMS statistical workflow, and supplementary Figures S1–S12 with captions. These figures document petrographic observations, backscattered electron images, electron probe analyses, rock magnetic measurements, sampling coverage, segmentation stability, and relationships among AMS parameters.
Supporting Data File 1 contains the complete AMS parameter table for 328 specimens, including mean magnetic susceptibility, anisotropy parameters, principal axis orientations, sampling coordinates, and assignments to the six statistical domains D1–D6. It also provides domain boundaries, summary statistics, and measurement and selection notes. Supporting Data Files 2a and 2b contain electron probe analyses of ilmenite and magnetite targets, respectively, including reported oxide concentrations, analytical totals, and sample and analysis identifiers.
Together, these materials support evaluation and reanalysis of the vertical magnetic fabric variations and their interpretation in terms of sill emplacement.</dc:description>
