Rahman, Romana Bangladesh Multi-Institution Oral Cancer Dataset (BMIOCD) Mendeley Data This dataset contains 800 original clinical oral-cavity photographs collected retrospectively from four oral-healthcare institutions in Bangladesh: Sir Salimullah Medical College and Mitford Hospital, Dhaka; Upashama Dental Care, Khulna; Shuvro Dental Care, Jashore; and Reshmi Dental Care, Jhenaidah. The dataset comprises 330 images of clinically confirmed oral cancer and 470 non-cancer images. The non-cancer class includes ulcers, benign tumours, cysts, and healthy oral mucosa, representing visually confusable conditions that may be encountered during oral-cancer screening. Cancer and non-cancer images are represented at each participating institution. The dataset is intended to support the development and evaluation of image-based methods for oral-cancer detection, classification, screening, and cross-institutional generalization.
