<dc:title>Rope Topology Dataset for Enclosed Hole Detection and Junction Counting</dc:title>
    <dc:publisher>Mendeley Data</dc:publisher>
<dc:description>This dataset was constructed for the evaluation of rope topology analysis and junction counting methods based on enclosed topological holes. It contains 360 images of three rope materials, including hemp rope, cotton rope, and flat nylon rope. Five rope lengths, namely 0.7 m, 1.0 m, 1.3 m, 1.5 m, and 2.0 m, were considered. Different rope configurations were generated under various rotation directions and revolution settings using a motor-driven box, after which the rope configurations were manually photographed.

The dataset includes the original rope images, manually verified ground-truth hole counts, and quantitative evaluation data for different comparison methods. The evaluation data provide the numbers of true positives (TP), false positives (FP), and false negatives (FN) for each method, from which Precision, Recall, and F1-score can be calculated. The dataset is intended to support research on rope topology analysis, enclosed topological-hole detection, junction counting, deformable linear object perception, and vision-based structural measurement.</dc:description>
