Huang, Kening Understory spectral library and corresponding forest attributes in northern Finland Mendeley Data This dataset consists of forest floor spectral hemispherical-conical reflectance factors from 350 nm to 2500 nm, as well as corresponding forest attribute data from northern boreal forests in Finland. The dataset was collected from Värriö and Sodankylä sites, located about 100 km north of the Arctic Circle, between July 2nd and August 3rd, 2025. Measurements were conducted at 45 plots in these two sites, with three 1 m × 1 m vegetation quadrats per plot, i.e. a total of 135 quadrats. The plots are distributed in four different forest site types: herb-rich (5 plots), mesic (11 plots), sub-xeric (11 plots), and xeric (12 plots). Plots in mountain birch forests (5 plots) and on bare rocks (1 plot) were also measured because of their abundance in high elevation areas in Northern Finland.
