<dc:title>Research data_Exploring effects of temporal perspectives on life cycle climate impact and costs in building renovation</dc:title>
    <dc:publisher>Mendeley Data</dc:publisher>
<dc:description>This dataset supports a life‑cycle assessment (LCA) and whole life costing (WLC) study of renovation packages applied to a multi‑residential building in a subarctic climate. The research compares aggregated to time-resolved results and considers future developments through temporal parameters (e.g., energy‑mix decarbonisation and price escalation). The dataset contains input data, assumptions, and calculation outputs related to the LCA‑GWP and WLC results presented in the associated article. Included data cover: (i) input data and calibration for building energy simulations; (ii) the building’s initial energy performance and the change in energy use resulting from individual renovation measures and combined renovation packages; (iii) material quantities, transportation distances, environmental product declarations (EPDs), and energy mix emission factors used to calculate climate impacts; and (iv) renovation costs, energy prices, rental income assumptions, and discount and escalation rates used in the WLC. The calculated results provide annual, time‑resolved life cycle climate impacts and costs for each renovation package over a 100‑year reference study period, as well as corresponding aggregated results. Sensitivity analyses are included to examine the effects of higher energy‑price escalation rates, higher renovation‑cost escalation rates, improved material‑production technologies (reducing embodied emissions), and decarbonising energy mixes under both Swedish and EU‑average assumptions. The data show that the comparison between renovation packages can change over time as climate impacts and costs accumulate, particularly under decarbonisation scenarios. The results compare aggregated versus time‑resolved outcomes, and shows how temporal assumptions affect long‑term renovation performance.</dc:description>
