This datasets contained Near infrared spectral data as absorbance spectrum for biochar samples produced from agricultural residues. Actual data properties of biochar also available as fixed carbon, volatile matter and ash contents.
Objective to investigate the role of social and laboral stress in the functionality and adaptability of adults screened as ADH(+) by the Adult ADHD Self report Scale in different professional settings.
Design. We conducted an online survey with convenience sampling about economic and academic performances (dysfunctionality) and self-perception of health problems and work-related subjective suffering (maladaptation), following a screening for ADHD using Adult Self Report Scale (ASRS). The subjects were naïve about the aim of this assessment. Among analyses, we realized a random stratified subsampling to mitigate the bias by convenience sampling.
Main Findings. There were 2173 participants, of which 28.06% were ADH(+). Even regarding only subjects with extreme ASRS scores (2.5), ADH(+) and (-) groups did not shown difference in functionality. We grouped subjects by professional career. The highest ADH(+) prevalence was found in publicity, where almost no difference in subjective suffering between the groups was observed.
Conclusions. High ADH(+) prevalence can be due convenience recruitment. Our results indicate that ADH(+) people can show equivalent functionality and adaptability than ADH(-) ones when they live in their preferred labor/social settings, arguing that dysfunctionality and mental suffering in adult ADHD could be secondary to social stress.
Icequakes, micro-seismicity caused by glacier deformation and motion, provide important information to study glacier dynamics and its responses to environmental changes at various temporal and spatial scales. In this study, we apply a multi-dimensional autoregressive maximum-likelihood algorithm to obtain 12 icequake templates on the Urumqi Glacier No. 1, China, and detect 65,363 icequakes through template matching. Centroid location of the 12 templates indicate that most icequakes are caused by surface crevasses inside the glacier, which are characterized by dominant surface waves. The icequakes show seasonal variation with more events in summer because of faster ice flow due to high temperature and precipitation. In winter, however, the icequakes, on par with those in summer, suggest considerable glacier growth in cold weather. Because of higher ice flow velocity due to low tide, the number of icequakes has two daily peaks which seems to negatively correlate with semi-diurnal solid tide.

The anticorrosive performance of alumina/epoxy nanocomposite was examined by EIS & LP tests. Using flat cell assemble. The working volume was 350 mL. SCE used as RE. Graphite plate, with dimension 25 x 25 x 5 mm, and 2.6 cm2 exposed area, used as CE. Steel coated by epoxy-resin and alumina/epoxy nanocomposite, with dimension 25 x 25 x (12.6 mm, + the coating thickness), and 2.6 cm2 exposed area, as WE. The electrolyte used was 3% NaCl used with DI water. The potentiostat used is VMP3.
OCP was recorded for 24, 48, 72, 96, and 120 h, before and during each test. After OCP completion of each step, EIS & LP were measured. For EIS, the frequency sweep was from 100 KHz to 100 mHz, with 20 mV AC amplitude, and for LP, the voltage ranges from -250 mV to 250 mV, with 1 mV/sec scan rate.
The test has been carried out on pure epoxy-resin, 0.5 wt. %, & 1 wt. % alumina/epoxy nanocomposite. Metal sample, without coating, was tested by LP, after 6 h OCP.
The EIS data that are being collected were analyzed using Nyquist plot (with an equivalent circuit model - as found in the manuscript). While LP data were analyzed using tafel slope.
This research aims to provide an understanding of how absorptive capacity occurs in startups, which maintains interorganizational relationships with large companies. The research used a qualitative multiple case study design and the investigation of seven startups constituted the study corpus. The data were analyzed using statistical analysis, content analysis, and business process analysis. In the study, the software Iramuteq (Interface of R pour les Analyzes Multidimensionnelles de Textes et de Questionnaires) was used as a tool to aid the qualitative analysis of textual data. In a complementary way, the SPSS Statistics 17 software was used to treat the survey data.
