The descriptive data presented in this article is used to measure the level of student’s satisfaction with university facilities which are provided by the university as well as the government. This study involved 280 respondents comprising diploma, bachelor degree and post graduate student at Malaysian Public University. An open-ended question with 10 Likert Scale was distributed to respondents to identify the level of student’s satisfaction with the facilities provided by the university. The one to 10 scale measurements starting with one is Strongly Dissatisfied to 10 is Strongly Satisfied has been used to measure the level of student’s satisfaction towards 14 facilities at the university.

The coastal and marine ecosystems of Myanmar have been subject to wide scale overexploitation and anthropogenic stress for decades. This has fundamentally altered their status and composition. These impacts have brought with them substantial impacts to fishing dependent communities and have put at risk the resilience of Myanmar’s marine socio-ecological systems. Unfortunately, data are lacking to be able to understand and illustrate the impact of these changes to local communities and fisheries managers. To fill this gap and to be able to populate a model that explores the effects that management could have for Myanmar’s multispecies fisheries, we assembled a unique database of life history information for over 600 species from fishery-independent surveys and FishBase data. The aim was to compile a comprehensive dataset that can be used in other studies and the list of species represents a catalogue developed from natural history texts dating from the 1800s as well as fishery independent surveys and online data. Additionally, we digitized the catch per hour fishing station data from the 2013 Nansen survey, which was used to calculate the swept area biomass of each species in Myanmar’s waters.

The HOXB7, HOXB8 and HOXB9 gene expression profiles in breast cancer are contradictory due to disease complexity and technical issues. The data presented here cover these two points by analyzing the expression of these genes in breast cancer cell lines representative of distinct molecular subtypes using a very sensitive quantification technique, the qPCR. The cell lines analyzed were MCF7, BT474, SKBR3, MDA231, MDA468 and MCF10A representative of Luminal A, Luminal B, HER2+, triple-negative claudin low, triple-negative basal and normal model, respectively. The raw data was accessed by CFX Manager 3.1 software (Bio-Rad) and a threshold line was put into the exponential phase of the amplification curve generating a Cycle Threshold (CT) number for each sample. The CT numbers were transferred to an Excel file, provided in the Raw data folder, to be analyzed using the formula: RATIO= E target^ – (CT sample for the target gene) / E reference^ – (CT sample for the reference gene), in which “E” refers to primer efficiencies previously calculated and GAPDH is the reference gene. The statistical analyses were made with Prism 8 using the unpaired T test with Welch’s correction using the MCF10A cells as reference sample. P-values were considered statistically significant when P≤0.05. The obtained values are provided in Analyzed data folder. Data are presented as the mean ± SD of at least three independent experiments. When more than three experiments are available, we used all replicates to do the analysis or excluded discrepant results but always keeping at least three replicates. The analyzed results showed that HOXB7 tends to be upregulated in all breast cancer cell lines when compared to the normal cell model, while HOXB8 and HOXB9 are significantly upregulated in MCF7, BT474 and MDA231 cells with no significant differences in SKBR3 and MDA468 cells. All genes presented expression levels highly subtype-dependent among different breast cancer cell lines.

As a part of a research into new techniques for purifying recycled aluminium alloys, a novel electromagnetic apparatus had been developed for investigating in real-time the separation mechanisms of detrimental inclusions in aluminium alloy melts under alternating magnetic fields. The magnetic coil was designed based on the Helmholtz coil design. A viewing gap was designed for in-situ imaging studies using synchrotron X-rays. The gap was designed to maintain a uniform magnetic field in the central region where a sample is positioned. The current setup for the magnetic coil pair is able to produce a peak magnetic flux density of ~10 mT at a frequency of 25 kHz. A separate electrical resistance furnace, designed to concentrically fit within the magnetic coils, was used to control the heating (up to ~850°C) and cooling of the samples. After a series of systematic tests and commissioning, the apparatus was used in a number of in-situ and ex-situ experiments.

Nowadays, social media sites have become a vital part of humans’ lives, allowing peoples to express their opinions, their sentiments and feelings about whatever, whenever and wherever. Therefore, it comes a huge amount of data in which attract researchers to explore and analyse these sites to address research questions in various fields. This data article is about 21422 public tweets related to Algerian universities generated by 9477 users, made during the nine years—January 2011 to March 2020. The retrieved tweets were collected based on specific queries using a python 3 library called GetOldTweets3. Each tweet is represented by 11 variables: ID, username, text, date, number of retweets, number of favorites, mentions, hashtags, and permalink.
