Supplementary File 2. Contains the datasets extracted for each species from each study (‘Input Data’), an R code (‘EPD tests code’) written by the author to test each dataset for ICD, EPD, and linear and quadratic forms of VPD and produce AICC values, cross-validation errors, and summary output for each of these development models, and the R output of analyses performed with this code on each species’ dataset (‘Output Data’). Supplementary File 3. Contains Tables S3 and S4. Table S3. Summary of performance metrics calculated for each development model [ICD, EPD, VPD (Lin), and VPD (Quad)] for each species’ dataset tested, including model AICC, Δi, rank based on AICC (1-4), cross-validation error, pseudo-R2, and mean raw (in d) and percent (%) absolute prediction errors calculated for each species’ dataset. Whether conditions for concluding ICD or EPD were met by the data is also outlined. Whether original studies reported full development times and if each species had anamorphic or metamorphic development is also listed. The number of developmental stages whose proportions were significantly affected by temperature or not is also listed, as well as the proportion of stages with significant temperature effects, and thus whether or not the species had mixed development. The studies cited in this table are provided with Table S2 in Supplementary File 1. Table S4. The proportions of total development spent by each of the species examined in this study in each of their immature developmental stages, as predicted based on the parameters of development models fit to them using GLMs in the present study. For all equations, the predicted proportions were back-transformed from arcsine-square-roots. Equations are included as Excel formulae, and those for VPD models are linked to values in the first column representing temperature (set to an arbitrary value of 15°C in this file). Whether the developmental proportion of each stage was significantly affected by temperature is also indicated (1 = affected, 0 = not affected) in the columns to the right of each VPD model’s column. Whether each developmental stage was feeding or non-feeding is also listed. The studies cited in this table are provided with Table S2 in Supplementary File 1.

Insoluble particulate matter test for injections in pharmacopoeia is mandatory for parenteral drug products. In this test using light obscuration, four measurements of at least 5-mL are required. Since therapeutic protein injections of low dosage volumes are getting more popular, reduction of test volumes is desired. Several studies about feasibility of light obscuration method with reduced volume were reported, and it is considered that single measurement volume can be reduced up to 0.2 mL by setting appropriate tare and pre-run volumes. However, the influences of reduction of measurement volume on accuracy and precision of light obscuration method has not been evaluated by multi-laboratory study. This study was carried out for examining the validity of the new general test of the insoluble particulate matter with reduced volume for therapeutic protein injections in Japanese Pharmacopoeia (JP), which was released for public consultation in 2017

The on-line questionnaire was created by google documents, which were sent to members of Bonyo.com company and filled out. The study provided four tickets as prizes of the concert held by the Hua Nan Commercial Bank for the anniversary celebration. Because of the main singers are the most popular singer of young generation. A total of 1,450 copies were distributed, 119 invalid questionnaires were excluded, 1,331 valid questionnaires were obtained.

The additional tables S1 to S5 show the biostratigraphy and the quantitative analyses carried out on calcareous nannofossils from three stratigraphic sections sampled in the Tanger-Al Manzla area (“Flysch Basin” of northern Morocco): Dar Zhirou, Saf Lahmame, and Seguedla sections. The micropaleontologic analyses were performed at the Laboratory of Stratigraphy of Roma Tre University, from January 2017 to July 2019. Details on the methods followed to perform the analyses are reported in section “3. Material and Methods” of the main text of the paper. The micropaleontologic analyses allowed to distinguish autochthonous and reworked species of calcareous nannofossils. These analyses led to the recognition of the marker species and to the definition of the nannofossils assemblages characterizing the Dar Zhirou, Saf Lahmame, and Seguedla sections. The field work and the micropaleontologic analyses carried out on the study sections allow us to refer them to a Late Miocene (Tortonian-Messinian) wedge-top basin: the Tanger-Al Manzla Basin. Table S6 shows the ichnofacies recognized into the sedimentary successions of the Dar Zhirou, Saf Lahmame, and Seguedla sections, which allow us to indicate the mud-dominated successions of the Tanger-Al Manzla Basin as deposited in a deep-marine environment. The additional Table S7 shows the migration and the migration rates of the Western Mediterranean subduction-related orogen in the last 23 Myr. Table S8 compares the migration and the migration rates of the leading edge of the central Apennines and Rif Chain during the last 18 Myr.
