Description

A comprehensive dataset on the characterization of indigenous freshwater microalgae isolated from the tropical freshwater environment was deposited. The growth curve was analyzed in terms of cell density and optical density. Microalgal pigments such as chlorophyll-a, b, c, carotenoids, total phycobiliproteins, allophycocyanin, phycocyanin, and phycoerythrin were analyzed according to the standard protocol. This preliminary dataset will provide the basis for pointing to potential microalgae species for different commercial applications. For proximate composition: protein, lipid, and carbohydrate. Following are the data set : Fig-2. Growth Curve Fig-3. Carotinoid Content Fig. 4 Total phycobiliproteins content Fig. 5 Protein content Fig. 6 Lipid content Fig. 7 Carbohydrate content Table-1.
