HPP_Subsequent_Manuscript_Do-file
Description
This Stata do-file contains the analytical code used to generate the empirical results reported in the study. It uses the study-specific analytical dataset constructed from Waves 2–4 of the Tanzania National Panel Survey (NPS). The do-file reproduces the statistical analyses presented in the manuscript and supplementary materials, including descriptive statistics, bivariate analyses, and multivariable regression models examining healthcare provider choice at the second consultation. It also implements the robustness and sensitivity analyses used to assess the consistency of the main findings, including alternative model specifications and complete-case analyses. The code documents the model specifications, covariates, reference categories, sample restrictions, and treatment of repeated observations used in the empirical analysis. It therefore provides a reproducible record of how the study results were generated from the final analytical dataset. The underlying NPS microdata and the derived analytical dataset are not redistributed in this repository because redistribution is not permitted under the data-access conditions of the Tanzania National Bureau of Statistics. Researchers wishing to reproduce the study results should obtain the original NPS data from the World Bank Microdata Library, first execute the accompanying analytical dataset construction do-file, and then run this results do-file. File type: Stata do-file (.do) Purpose: Reproduction of the statistical analyses and study results Input: Study-specific analytical dataset constructed from Tanzania NPS Waves 2–4 Output: Descriptive statistics, regression estimates, and robustness and sensitivity analyses reported in the manuscript and supplementary materials Software: Stata
