Description

Seven pin-on-disc tests performed between Cr100 sphere (9.52mm diameter) and SAE 1015 steel–AMS 5060 discs with cast lead bronze (22-27 % Pb, 3-4 % Sn and Cu remaining part) coating. Dry conditions. Room ambient control: 23 °C and 50% (rel. humidity). Track radius, sliding speed, sliding distance are all indicated in the file name. "GROUNDSURF" files correspond to freshly ground coating without any presence of copper oxide. Normal load on all tests: 10 N reference mantained with a PID controller acting on the Z displacement of the tribometer. Files contain data on: tangential force (Fx), normal force (Fn), coefficient of friction (COF), wear depth (Z depth), timestep. Tests performed on MFT-5000 multi function tribometer. Financed by the European Union - NextGenerationEU (National Sustainable Mobility Center CN00000023, Italian Ministry of University and Research Decree n. 1033 - 17/06/2022, Spoke 11 - Innovative Materials & Lightweighting).
