Impact of PCOD on physical, mental and social behaviour among women of reproductive age

Description

Polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD) is a more common reproductive endocrine condition that affects 5% to 10% of women of reproductive age. Polycystic ovary disorder is a multifactorial and polygenic pathology distinguished by a wide variety of indications and symptoms related to reproductive, endocrine, and metabolic dysfunction. Aim of the study is to investigate the psychological factor among women with PCOD. Study was conducted using google form questionnaire which includes question related to demographic details, physical and psychological health. After collecting and analysing data we found that women with PCOD are suffering from stress, show less interest in physical ailments, sleep apnea ,social phobia, low self esteem and fear of increased weight among reproductive age group.

Steps to reproduce

Self made questionnaire was formed which inlcudes 32 questions about physical and psychological health of reproductive age group. This questionnaire was got validated from 10 professional teachers of obstetric and gynaecology department. After validating the questionnaire it was circulated among women of reproductive age in google form format through social networking sites like whatsapp, email. After collecting data, it was analysed by using microsoft window 11 and spss software 26.
