Description

The data set used principal component analysis to measured and classified the 36 indigenous flood control and management techniques and their level of effectiveness in flood disaster risk reduction in Nigeria’s coastal communities into nine significant components. These are the indigenous flood control knowledge, the indigenous flood forecasting knowledge, indigenous technical knowledge, indigenous flood magnitude detection knowledge, and indigenous flood prevention knowledge . Others are indigenous safety knowledge, indigenous food security knowledge , indigenous flood emergency preparation knowledge and indigenous flood coping knowledge (3.583%).
