Compiled vegetation-resource data for Apis dorsata conservation on Moyo Island, Indonesia
Description
This dataset contains GPS sampling points, pooled habitat-level vegetation summaries, recorded bee-associated plant classifications, biodiversity-index calculations, dominant-species records, conservation-priority evidence, and a data dictionary supporting the manuscript “Vegetation-based forage and potential nesting resources inform conservation priorities for Apis dorsata on Moyo Island, Indonesia.” The original plot-by-species matrix was not available. Values are pooled habitat-level records and must not be interpreted as replicated plot-level raw data.

Steps to reproduce
1. Review the Sampling_Points sheet for the geographic coordinates and habitat classification of the eight sampling points. 2. Review the Habitat_Summary and Bee_Associated_Plants sheets for pooled species counts, individual counts, and recorded resource classifications. 3. Resource classifications comprise forage plants, potential nesting-tree resources, dual-function species, and non-associated species. 4. Shannon-Wiener diversity was calculated as H′ = −Σpi ln(pi). Pielou evenness was calculated as E = H′/ln(S). Margalef richness was calculated as R = (S − 1)/ln(N). 5. The Resource_Records and Calculated_Indices sheets provide the values used to verify the reported biodiversity indices. 6. The data are pooled habitat-level records. They must not be analysed as independent plot-level replicates.
