Gene and protein sequences of LipL32, Loa22, Lsa21 and LPS of 25 Leptospira isolates from subjects in Sri Lanka
Description
Gene and protein sequences for the regions; LipL32, Loa22, Lsa21 and LPS of the 25 Leptospira isolates from Sri Lankan subjects are lacking on the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). This data set provides quick and direct access to the sequences. Researchers can use the data directly for comparative analysis based on the geographical distributions and host types. Also the data set will provide quick access to individual gene and protein sequences that can be utilized to further understand Leptospira pathogenesis mechanisms followed by the development of therapeutics against leptospirosis.

Steps to reproduce
Annotation of whole genome sequences of Leptospira spp. Already published whole genome sequences of 25 Sri Lankan isolates (strain ID defined FMAS_) and fifteen reference genomes of L.borgpetersenii, L.kirschneri, L.interrogans, L.weilii, L.biflexa and L.licerasiae were extracted from the NCBI database. All the genome sequences were submitted to RAST and annotated (Rapid Annotation using Subsystem Technology) (https://rast.nmpdr.org/). Extraction of pathogen associated molecular patterns that interact with human TLR2 Available gene and protein sequences of Leptospira LipL32, Loa22, Lsa21 and LPS regions were obtained from NCBI database. The best matching NCBI protein sequences were selected based on the protein BLAST on the RAST comparative tool for each of the 25 isolates. Corresponding gene and protein sequences of the LipL32, Loa22, Lsa21 and LPS were extracted from all 25 Leptospira isolates and 15 other reference genomes.
