Description

Under 4 different prior distributions, participants were shown 60 sets of 3 targets and asked to recall them after a change in viewpoint without self-motion information (i.e. being disoriented). These data were collected to see if participants would use the prior distributions to create a small bias towards the prior mode (i.e. use the prior distribution to their advantage to reduce average error). Analyses do not suggest that this occurred. However, there was a small bias towards the beacon at (-.65,0) in three of the conditions.
