CITRUS RED MITE (Panonychus citri McGregor)
Description
The article presents the results of the research conducted on the study of citrus red mite in the Lankaran-Astara region. Due to the relief and climatic conditions of the region, it is not only suitable for the cultivation of fruit and citrus plants, but also for the development and spread of pests. As a result of the experiments carried out in the open stationary field, it was clarified that the tick gives 12-13 generations during the months of April-November. Abiotic factors of the environment, including temperature and humidity, have a great role in the reproduction and development of the pest. For example, at a temperature of 12.7-17.0 ºC and a humidity of 86%, larvae complete their development in 7-8 days, and adults in 10-12 days, while at a temperature of 21.0-25.0 ºC and a humidity of 89%, the development of larvae takes 2 days, and that of adults It takes 2-3 days. Thus, in April and May, the development of one generation ends in 20-30 days, while in July-August, the development of one generation ends in 12-15 days. Among many preparations tested for the purpose of effective chemical pest control, including ultimatum, hamla, and nurel, a favorable effect for the farm was obtained as a result of the testing of ultimatum and hamla preparations.
