Description

For the recovery of the photographic heritage of Institutional Welfare, it is necessary to improve the conditions of conservation of the records; In this sense, in addition to conservation units, the environmental conditions that favor the physical integrity of the support are validated. In person inspection, particulate matter and a strong musty smell are evident, including records with damage to their structure, which allows us to infer that the conservation conditions are not suitable.

The attached data refers to the results of environmental measurements related to temperature and humidity taken with a thermohygrometer and evaluated by the environmental engineering team of the University of Santander, according to the values estimated by the Archivo Geneal de la Nación-Colombia for the conservation of photographic records that corresponds to, Temperature from 15 to 20°C with a daily fluctuation of 4°C. - Relative humidity between 45 and 60% with daily fluctuation of 5%. Likewise, a count of possible organisms is presented. 5 samples were taken for two places: (i) Carare building and (ii) Institutional Welfare. The culture media were used: (i) Rose Bengal (RB) and (ii) Sabouraud (Sab) supplemented with Chloramphenicol. The processed samples were incubated at room temperature for 7 days, the counts of each of the boxes were adjusted to the Probable Statistical Total factor according to Feller's law using the respective probability table. The final results are expressed in: Colony Forming Units CFU/60 L.
