LIPUS vs. localized water bath release of DOX and Curcumin from gold nanoparticle drug carriers in ex vivo porcine muscle tissue. For all LIPUS and water bath release trials the water tank was kept fixed at 37 degrees. A control treatment is also provided for no LIPUS or water heating at a fixed 37 degrees. All treatments are performed over 5 minutes with drug release measured indirectly via fluorescence.
