Samples were collected using various fishing gear (gill nets 30 × 15 m, mesh-size 1.5 cm and fish cages, mesh-size 0.5 cm) between October 2017 and July 2020 from the Tuojiang River, and identified according to the literature . The samples were treated with 10% neutralized formalin and transferred to the laboratory for biological measurements. Total length (TL) and body weight (BW) of each specimen were measured to the nearest 0.1 cm and 0.1 g, respectively. All scientific names of fishes were checked against FishBase (https://www.fishbase.in/search.php).
