Data for: MiR-1271 reduces proliferation and invasion in glioblastoma cells through targeting the CAMKK2 gene

This study found that microRNA-1271 (miR-1271) was significantly down-regulated in high-grade glioma tissues and GBM cell lines, while the CAMKK2 gene showed the opposite effect. We explored the roles of miR-1271 in the proliferation and invasion of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). Our results showed that miR-1271 inhibited AKT phosphorylation and Ki-67 gene expression by targeting CAMKK2. Mir-1271 inhibited GBM cell proliferation and invasion by directly targeting the CAMMK2 gene. This may be the new therapeutic goal of GBM.
