Description

Samples were collected along newly exposed road cuts at the Shennongding, Tiechanghe, and Guanmenshan sections in Hubei Province, South China, and the Yuanjiagou section in Liaoning Province, North China. A total of 84 carbonate samples from the Luanshigou, Dawokeng, Kuangshishan, Taizi, Yemahe, Wenshuihe, and Shicaohe formations in the Shennongjia Group, along with 67 carbonate samples from the Nanguanling and Ganjingzi formations in the Wuhangshan Group, were analyzed. Additionally, two compiled datasets include Ce anomalies in carbonate rocks and species richness of microfossils and macrofossils during the mid-Proterozoic. Table S1 contains carbon and oxygen isotope data for the 67 carbonate samples from the Nanguanling and Ganjingzi formations. Table S2 contains rare earth element (REE) data, including REY, for 84 samples from the Shennongjia Group and 22 samples from the Wuhangshan Group. Table S3 contains a dataset compiling of species richness of microfossils and macrofossils, spanning from 1800 Ma to 700 Ma. Table S4 contains a compilation dataset of carbonate Ce anomalies spanning from 1800 Ma to 700 Ma.
