DairyFMBN: a database of studies on the bacterial microbiota of dairy products

Description

DairyFMBN v2 includes a selection of records from FoodMicrobionet v 3.2 with studies on the microbiota of milk, fermented milks, cheese, starter cultures and dairy environments. The data are accessible via a Shiny app whose manual is here: http://www.foodmicrobionet.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/manual_shinyFMBN_v2_1_11_19.docx. Changes over version 1 of DairyFMBN: a. there are 50 studies in this version b. now the Taxa table in the aggregate tab allows direct access to NCBI taxonomy, LPSN and Florilege (http://migale.jouy.inra.fr/Florilege/#&welcome) The app and the database can be used to carry out meta-studies on the bacterial microbiota of dairy foods, as described in Parente E., Ricciardi A.
