Data for: Ways of the green tourist in Europe
Description
Data for this analysis originate from the Flash Eurobarometer 432 “Preferences of Europeans towards Tourism, January 2016” (http://data.europa.eu/euodp/en/data/dataset/S2065_432_ENG) with information on travel patterns of European citizens. The dataset includes information on actual (outbound) travel by destination in 2015, accompanied by a wide range of socio-demographic and contextual factors. The survey includes individuals aged 15 years and older in the 28 European Union Member States, as well as in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Iceland, Turkey, Montenegro and Moldavia. In addition, there is information on actual holiday trips with at least one overnight stay and the motivation behind the choice of them. There are 30,000 observations in the dataset, among which 19,833 relate to individuals who undertook a holiday trip in 2015.
