Description

The Kenya Demographic and Health Survey (KDHS) 2022 is a nationally representative cross-sectional survey conducted to provide up-to-date estimates on population, health, and nutrition indicators in Kenya. Implemented using a stratified two-stage sampling design, it collects data on fertility, mortality, maternal and child health, family planning, nutrition, and related socio-demographic variables. The survey follows standardized methodologies aligned with the global DHS program to ensure comparability across countries and over time. Data are derived from household interviews, women’s and men’s questionnaires, and biomarker measurements, supporting evidence-based policy formulation, program evaluation, and academic research. This version has been adapted to a specific study.
