Description

Dataset for: Fluid evolution in mid-ocean ridge vent systems: Implications from trace element variation during chimney growth to mound buildup. This dataset presents in situ geochemical data for sulfide minerals collected from the Xunmei Hydrothermal Field on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. The data comprises electron probe micro-analyzer (EPMA) measurements for major elements and laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) measurements for trace elements. The data is organized into three sheets: data, errors, and limits of detection (LOD). Note: Values that are bolded represent measurements below the LOD. These values have been replaced by half the LOD value to facilitate statistical analyses and data visualization.
