These data come from a cross-sectional study that was conducted to determine the prevalence of alcohol use and alcohol use disorders among adults (18 years and above) already enrolled in HIV care who were attending clinics in Tanzania. The study participants participated in an interview that was administered by a researcher to obtain demographic data and information related to HIV diagnosis and treatment. The Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Tool (AUDIT) questionnaire was also administered during the interview to obtain data on use of alcohol during ART treatment.
