Description

Dataset used for examining the utility of pelagic carbonate sediments for authigenic Mo and U isotope measurements. Concentration and isotope data are provided for reductively cleaned and uncleaned sample pairs, using different strength acids to explore different mineralogical phases of Mo and U. These were performed on a Holocene ages samples (ODP758) and mid-Cretaceous samples (GA183). All measurements were performed at ETH Zurich. See full paper for method descriptions, standard reporting and data interpretation. Concentration measurements were performed using a Thermo Element XR Mo an U concentrations are calculated using isotope dilution Mo and U isotope measurements were performed on a Thermo Neptune Plus MC-ICPMS Data from the paper are given in the file 'DataTables_Excel', and additional measurements that were not discussed in the text are given in the 'Extended supplement' file
